TBT (6): Danyel Galaxy – Cybernetic Permutations In The Key Of A

Every Thursday I look back to the past

Danyel Galaxy’s track ‘Cybernetic Permutations In The Key Of A’ appeared on the Belgica soundtrack in 2016.

His legendary performance at Belgica was filmed for the movie, but it didn’t make the final cut.

This is what we know about this mysterious artist:

A true cosmic wizard, the local Tim Blake if you will. For his sole (daytime) concert at Belgica, they had to close the club the night before just so he could sound check every single machine. This piece was also used years later on national TV as the intro for a science program.

Luckely Pitchfork got a hold of the video and posted it on their youtube channel in April 2016, one month after the premiere of Belgica.

Look closely and you might recognize some familiar faces, espacially this one in the background.

update: discord-user @2manywaffles recalled that this scene was inspired by a live performance of Klaus Schulze, which Dave & Steph had on a VHS tape.

He also played in their hometown in 1982 and 1983:
