How does a (relatively unknown) band from Mexico remix a (relatively unknown) band from Belgium?

Back in 1999, David and Stephen hosted a weekly tv-show called @lter8 on an MTV-like channel called The Music Factory. They could play anything they want, and they did.

Amongst all those videos, there was one called ‘Corazon’ by Titán:

I don’t know exactly how both bands got in touch, but Titán did remix ‘Too Many DJ’s’ for Soulwax. For reasons unknown, the remix was never released though I did pick up a promotional CDr with the remix.

Titán lead vocalist Jay de la Cueva would later front another band called Moderatta. Soulwax remixed their track Marchate Ya! which was never released I didn’t know existed for a long time until I discovered it years later. But that’s a story for a future blog post.
