Marie Davidson has performed live versions of Demolition and Contrarian, taken from her album, City Of Clowns, for the Abbey Road Live Cuts x Because Music project. These unique recordings have been cut to vinyl and are available for pre-order and to stream on DSPs now here.
Marie Davidson says “I had the honour to visit the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London to record live versions of Demolition and Contrarian. It felt special to be there, thanks to the whole team for hosting us.”
Canadian electronic musician, producer, and vocalist Marie Davidson started her career as one half of the minimal synth duo Essaie Pas, formed with her partner Pierre Guerineau. Since 2012, Davidson’s released solo material including the albums Adieux au dancefloor (2016), Working Class Woman (2018), and Renegade Breakdown (2020), with her latest album, City of Clowns landing in February this year.
Belgian festival Lokerse Feesten is hosting a DEEWEE night on august 2nd. Soulwax is playing the main stage the same night, so it makes sense to do a DEEWEE night on the same day in the club. On the lineup is ASA Moto, Charlotte Adigéry (dj set), Iggor & Laima, Klanken, Phillipi and a live set by Bolis Pupul.
Speaking of Bolis Pupul, he has announced a US tour in September 2025.
