Charlotte Adigéry travelled to Martinique for the Belgian tv show ‘Gloria Mundia’. Although she was born in the North of France, the roots of here family are on this island in the French Caribbian.
Charlotte talks a lot about her youth and the relationship with her parents, who got divorced when she was still at an early age. Charlotte and her mum lived on social welfare for a while and money was short but she recalled waiting in the lobby of the social wellfare office when she heard ‘The Best Thing‘, the song she recorded with Soulwax for the ‘Belgica‘ movie and realized this could be a turning point in her life.
She also talks about taking her young son on the road while she was touring with Bolis Pupul.
And there’s a bit of DEEWEE news as well: just before the tv crew arrived, Bolus and Charlotte had spent two weeks on the island making new music!

Soulwax is hosting a screening of Part Of The Weekend Never Dies in partnership with Deeper into Movies on July 3 at Colour Factory in London.

Marie Davidson posted last week that half of her gear was stolen in Athens. Luckely audiovisual designer Nick Verstand, who worked on shows by Charlotte & Bolis and Marie in the past, came to the resque and she was able to perform in The Netherlands last Sunday.
