2manydjs live set at C6 fest Sao Paulo

On May 18, 2manydjs flew all the way to Sao Paulo to do a live set at C6 Fest. It had been a while since their last ‘live’ set.

So just to recap: 2manydjs ‘live’ is where they will not only mix the audio but also the live visuals during their set. It used to be called ‘Under The Covers’ but these days they just simply call it ‘2manydjs live’.

Looking at some footage that has become available online and reading this review, it looks like the opener was Brasil’s finest Sepultura (‘Roots’). Though the set was only one hour long, they played tracks by Terr, Phillipi (his latest DEEWEE release Hacido), their unreleased Rosalia remix and classics from Abba, Tiga, Technotronic and New Order.

It looks like they finally ditched their DVJ 100 video decks and SVM mixer for the live sets. These Pioneer decks allowed them to play with DVDs and mix the visuals live onstage. But this technology, which they had been using since 2009, never really took off and the production has stopped years ago.
