Stephen Dewaele started his career as a director of tv shows for Belgian television in the 90’s. His dad, Zaki, was a well known tv host at the time, though he got famous as a radio dj back in the 60, and had a production company.
But he also directed a couple of videos, including the first Soulwax videos.
In 1996 he directed a video for the song ‘Mode D’Emploi?’ by French pop royalty Francoise Hardy. It was the opening track of her album ‘Le Danger’. You can find the video on youtube and on the compilation DVD ‘Le Temps Du Souvenirs’
