News update: Goodroom, Fuji Rock, Blessed Madonna and Laima

Here’s a quick news update:

2manydjs are returning to Brooklyn on September 20 to join Each Other at Good Room. Tickets here

Bolis Pupul will also dj there on August 8 and he’s also joined by Justin Strauss from Each Other. Tickets here

Some kind soul from Japan has recorded the whole gig of 2manydjs at Fujirock in Tokyo last week and put it on youtube:

Quite remarkable was the fact that this was a DJ set, but the local vj’s made some of their own visuals in the style of the 2manydjs ‘Under The Covers’ live set.

The Blessed Madonna is releasing her debut album, Godspeed, on October 11. The album will include the track ‘We Still Believe‘ that was produced by David and Stephen. It was already included in the ‘Grand Theft Auto online Los Santos: Drug Wars’ game.

And finally some exciting news for Laima:

Laima’s ‘Infinite Past, Infinite Future and NOW’ will be included in the ‘Me, Myself, I Dance Too. Summer-Dream-Prélude to Hannah Arendt’ exhibition, held at Kestner Gesellschaft in Hanover, which runs from 10 August – 13 October.

Some background information:

Laima’s music videos were written in response to each chapter of Hannah Arendt’s book ‘Between Past and Future’ and the exhibition explores the groundbreaking oeuvre of the political theorist and philosopher, who was born in Hannover in 1906. It elaborates Arendt’s concept of amor mundi (love of the world). In her 1958 treatise The Human Condition, Arendt writes:
“Love, by its very nature, is unworldly, and it is for this reason rather than its rarity that it is not only apolitical but anti-political, perhaps the most powerful of all anti-political forces.”
